Palace get an eye full of Aboubakar

|

Crystal Palace are weighing up an end of season move for Vincent Aboubakar.

According to a report in The Sun, the striker was watched in action for Besiktas against Olympiakos.

Sam Allardyce’s spy certainly got value for money as he watched Aboubakar score an early goal then get red carded before half-time.

The 25-year-old is on loan from Porto who will be looking to sell on the former Lorient in the summer.

Aboubakar’s physical approach is appreciated by Allardyce who is expecting to lose Christian Benteke in the summer.

After a dreadful run of results through December and January Palace have clawed their way out of the relegation zone with wins over Middlesbrough and West Brom.

Those results have given the club a massive confidence boost and gone some way towards confirming Allardyce as a relegation specialist.

No definite plans will be made until their Premier League status is confirmed but Allardyce is planning ahead to put his own stamp on the club.
