Marseille are ready to rival Chelsea for the signing of Simon Kjaer.
According to a report on talkSPORT the Fenerbahce defender could be reunited with his former Roma boss Rudi Garcia.
As they showed with Dimitri Payet Marseille can match the best contracts going when they find a target with the much travelled Kjaer falling into that category.
The 28-year-old Dane has top level experience in Germany, Italy and Turkey and is equally at home in a back three or four.
Antonio Conte is well aware of Kjaer’s flexibility and sees him as the ideal type of defender to bring in to tackle the Champions League and Premier League next season.
Fenerbahce would rather hold onto the Dane but will have to sell someone to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations with a price tag of £30m suggested to get them to part with the giant defender that they signed from Lille in 2015.
