Chelsea scouts ran the rule over Antonio Rudiger during German’s 1-0 win over England.
According to a report in The Sun the Roma defender will be the subject of a £30m offer from the champions elect.
Rudiger is determined to quit Roma at the end of the season after repeated racial abuse during matches.
The Italian authorities have been slow to deal with the matter forcing the 24-year-old into moving club.
Rudiger is in his second season with Roma and fits perfectly the profile of the type of defender that Antonio Conte wants to build his side around.
As a regular in the German international side Rudiger has got vast international experience and after playing in Serie A and the Bundesliga would be able to slip into the Chelsea side without any hitches.
Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with Rudiger but it’s believed that the players’ preference is to move to London.
