Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Dries Mertens.
According to a report in The Sun the Napoli striker will be offered a double your money £4.3m/year deal to come to Old Trafford with the Italian side getting £40m for the player.
Mertens has been in outstanding form this season, netting 20 times in 26 matches, and is out of contract next summer.
