Harry Redknapp believes that Manchester United missed a snip when they watched Dele Alli star against them in a 4-0 win for MK Dons without making a move.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror Redknapp believes that it would cost more than £90m, the fee United paid for Paul Pogba, to snap up the Spurs midfielder who has admirers at all of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Ironically Pogba started his career at United but after falling foul of Sir Alex Ferguson was sold to Juventus before being bought back last summer in a world record deal.

Spurs paid MK Dons £5m for the midfielder in February 2015 and haven’t regretted that deal for a moment.

Alli signed a new contract earlier this season but is likely to be renewing his deal every 12 months to keep tabs with wages inflation and keep bigger clubs at bay.

Manchester City, Paris St Germain and Barcelona have been linked to the midfielder who turns 21 in April but Redknapp believes that if Spurs can keep hold of him they can win the Premier League title within the next two years.
