Bojan will lead a summer clear out at Stoke City.

According to a report in The Sun there will be no way back for the Spaniard who joined Mainz 05 on loan during the January transfer window.

Mark Hughes is planning a major summer overhaul of the club that won’t include a place for the former Barcelona prospect.

Last season Bojan was still heavily involved at Stoke but only started five Premier League matches before last month’s move to the Bundesliga.

As a teenager great things were predicted for the attacking midfielder as he came through the ranks at the Nou Camp.

A £10m transfer to Roma failed to work out but there were signs after moving to Stoke in 2014 that he was realising his potential before falling out of favour this season.

Half a dozen others are expected to leave the club in the summer with Ibrahim Afellay and Stephen Ireland out of contract and unlikely to be offered new deals.
