Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Franck Kessie.
According to a report in The Sun, United sent a scout to watch Atalanta win 2-0 away to Napoli.
Kessie has been in outstanding form as the club from Bergamo challenge for a Champions League place but picked up a red card against Napoli on Saturday after being booked twice within five minutes midway through the second half.
The 20-year-old has made a huge impact in his first season in Serie A drawing comparisons with Yaya Toure and featuring for the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations.
Despite interest from Chelsea and others Kessie recently claimed that moving to Manchester United would be his dream move.
Eric Bailly has kept United upto date with the midfielders progress with a £25m move expected in the summer to take Kessie to Old Trafford.
Atalanta expect to lose their outstanding young midfielder and are hoping that a bidding war breaks out to push the price beyond £30m.
