Liverpool and Manchester United track Forest kid Brereton

|

Liverpool face competition from Manchester United for the signing of Ben Brereton.

According to a report in The Sun the young Nottingham Forest striker is on the radar of two of the biggest clubs in the country.

Brereton has had scouts flocking to watch the Forest youth side this season and scored his first top team goal against Aston Villa last Saturday.

Liverpool had a £2.5m bid for the striker rejected by Forest during the January transfer window but may have to double that offer to take the striker to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is determined to recruit and develop the best young talent available and wants to see Brereton, and others, coming to the club.

With the production line of young players virtually dried up at Old Trafford United are ready to spend big to bring in the best young talent available elsewhere.

Nottingham Forest snapped up Brereton after he was released by Stoke City in 2015.
