Jurgen Klopp faces competition from Manchester City in his bid to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Liverpool.
According to a report in The Sun the Borussia Dortmund striker is on the wanted list of both clubs as they look for summer reinforcements.
Klopp knows Aubameyang well having signed him from St Etienne in 2013 but the personal touch may not be enough if Manchester City come in with a massive offer.
Pep Guardiola admired the Dortmund striker during his spell with Manchester City and is drawing up a list of replacements for Sergio Aguero.
Although City and the striker are playing things down in public it appears that the relationship between Guardiola and the Argentinian is cool at best.
Dortmund will fight to keep hold of Aubameyang but are aware that if two English clubs start bidding there is little that they can do to compete with the wages on offer in the Premier League.
