Everton transfer target Ever Banega looks to be on his way to China.

According to a report on talkSPORT the midfielder is on the verge of a big money move to China after failing to settle after joining Inter Milan.

Everton were linked with an £8m move for Banega during January but Inter weren’t keen to let the Argentinian move in mid-season having only signed Banega from Sevilla in the close season.

Ronald Koeman hadn’t given up on signing the 28-year-old and would have reviewed the situation again in the summer but that looks unlikely with the Chinese transfer window open until February 28.

Fabio Cannavaro is the manager of Tianjin Quanjian and is believed to be prepared to pay £20m to take Banega to China.

Inter will happily bank that sort of cash for a player that hasn’t lived upto expectations with a major overhaul expected in the summer as the club moves into the transfer market in a big way.
