Rafa Benitez is on the shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger at the end of the season.
According to a report in The Mirror the Newcastle boss is in the frame to move to The Emirates and would appoint Thierry Henry as his assistant.
Benitez has vast experience of managing some of the biggest clubs in the game with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool on his CV.
The Spaniard is on course to take Newcastle back to the Premier League but seemed unhappy with the club’s failure to bring in new faces during the January transfer window.
Wenger’s contract expires at this season with mixed messages coming out about whether it will be renewed or not.
Recently it was claimed that a new two year deal was almost in place but over the last week Ian Wright and others have speculated that this could be the end of the road for the Frenchman.
