Cabaye flattered by Marseille interest

|

Yohan Cabaye has admitted that he’s flattered by interest from Marseille.

According to a report in The Mirror the Crystal Palace midfielder was impressed by news of Marseille interest.

With Palace battling to avoid the drop and signs of civil war among the fans Cabaye’s comments are the last thing that Sam Allardyce will want to hear.

Palace paid Paris St Germain £10m in 2015 to sign the midfielder who made his name working alongside Alan Pardew at Newcastle.

Cabaye has failed to recapture that form since moving to Selhurst Park but is one of the highest paid players at the club.

Following Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at home to Sunderland Allardyce faces a massive task in lifting the players and getting the fans to believe that they can avoid relegation.

With a key player admitting to being flattered by interest from another club a week after the transfer window closed Allardyce now has another unwelcome problem to add to his list.
