Patrice Evra could be in line for a sensational return to Manchester United.
According to a message released by Rio Ferdinand the Frenchman could return to Old Trafford on loan.
After more than 300 appearances Evra left Manchester United in a £5.5m deal for Juventus with Luke Shaw brought in as his replacement.
The 34-year-old is under contract with Juve until the end of the season but after falling out with coach Massimiliano Allegri he is unlikely to feature in the second half of the season.
Evra was recently linked with a move to West Ham but would find it almost impossible to resist a short term return to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho has been unable to find a reliable left-back this season with Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind all tried in the problem position.
Evra would be able to offer a short term solution allowing Mourinho time to find a new left-back during the summer transfer window.
