Hammers return with increased bid for Snodgrass

|

West Ham’s tortured transfer window has continued with an increased bid of £5m for Robert Snodgrass.

According to a report in The Sun the Hammers have returned to Hull after having a £3m bid rejected last week.

Already during the transfer window West Ham have had three bids for Scott Hogan rejected by Brentford, one bid for Jermain Defoe turned down by Sunderland and the farce of their interest in Celtic’s Moussa Dembele splashed on the club website!

Today it was revealed that Dimitri Payet has refused to play for the club.

Hull enforced a 12 month extension onto the midfielder’s contract last month but that was mainly activated to ensure that they get a realistic fee rather than allow the player to leave for free in the summer.

With Newcastle United also keen on Snodgrass Hull are believed to be looking for £10m but are likely to accept a bid of £8m- a £2m profit on the fee that they paid Norwich in 2014 for the player.
