Manchester United are tracking Le Havre’s talented teenager Yasser Larouci.

According to a report in Metro the French youth internationalist has turned down a new contract offer from Le Havre and will be able to leave for a token development fee.

United are keen to get back in the market of signing emerging talents with Larouci coming to their attention during a trial stint at Southampton in December.

After impressing at St Mary’s United have sent scouts to watch the player and are now hoping to come to an agreement with Le Havre rather than get involved in an end of season auction.

United’s name is a massive draw across the continent with Larouci keen to play at a higher level with Le Havre currently playing in the second division.

Southampton are still interested in signing the teenager but are unlikelt to be able to compete financially with any offer but are hopeful that their track record with younger players can convince Larouici to come to the south coast.
