Chelsea are set to return to Napoli with a fresh bid for Faouzi Ghoulam.
According to a report in The Sun, Antonio Conte is preparing to put a £24m bid on the table for the highly rated full-back.
Ghoulam had the chance to join Chelsea in the summer but decided to stay with Napoli to experience Champions League football.
Napoli are locked in a three way battle with Benfica and Besiktas to progress in the competition but Conte believes that the likely return of Champions League football next season can tempt the 25-year-old to move to London.
Conte has always placed a strong emphasis on his defence and sees the flexible Ghoulan as the type of player that he can rely on for a number of years.
Napoli are unlikely to encourage a bid from Chelsea but if the player indicates that he is keen to move then the club will reluctantly have to talk terms over a deal.
