Alexis Sanchez has hit Arsenal with an amazing £400,000/week wage demand!
According to a report in The Mail the strikers representatives have presented Arsenal with an offer from China to open negotiations over a new deal.
Sanchez has got 18 months left on the £130,000/week deal that he signed when he quit Barcelona for The Emirates.
Arsenal have indicated that £200,000/week is the ceiling of their wage scale with the club determined to retain some level of control.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have players above that level but the Gunners appear adamant to retain a certain level of pay.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of his former striker but it’s unlikely that City could match the offer from China although topping Arsenal’s £200,000/week offer and a transfer fee wouldn’t be an issue.
Mesut Ozil is also out of contract next summer and looking for parity with the highest earners in England to stay on at Arsenal.
