Manchester United are preparing for a £13m hit on Memphis Depay.

According to a report in The Daily Star United are prepared to let the Dutchman go for just £12m after finding clubs put off by the players £100,000 a week wages.

Everton and Spurs are believed to be the keenest to sign Depay but would only consider a loan deal rather than the full package.

United are keen to offload upto a dozen players next month and would rather take a loss on certain players than have them return in the summer and try to get them moved out for a second time.

Depay, who was signed by Louis van Gaal for £25m from PSV Eindoven, is in a group of players virtually ignored by Jose Mourinho as he attempts to put his own stamp on the club.

With more than half of his four year contract still to run the ball is in Depay’s hands although he knows that any further lost time in the shadows at Old Trafford will effect his future prospects.
