Manchester United are planning a return trip to Paris to bring Edinson Cavani to Old Trafford.

According to a report in The Express the Uruguayan striker is stalling on a new three year deal to stay with Paris St Germain.

Jose Mourinho is a long term admirer of the striker and would love to bring in Cavani next summer to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Swedish legend winds his career down.

Cavani joined PSG in a £55m deal from Napoli in 2013 with English clubs struggling to compete with the fee and wage demands at that time.

Flushed by the money pouring into the game from broadcasters United would be able to match that fee and offer Cavani similar terms to Ibrahimovic who arrived on a free transfer.

On Saturday night the Uruguayan scored twice for PSG on Sunday in their 2-2 draw at home to Nice to take his total for the season to 22 goals from 21 matches.
