Everton are set to step up their interest in Memphis Depay after Yannick Bolasie was told that his season is over.

According to a report in The Mail, Ronald Koeman will step up his interest in the Dutchman and is looking to conclude a deal as soon as the transfer window opens.

Depay is believed to be on a list of ten players that Jose Mourinho would be happy to lose once the January window opens as he trims down the squad and frees up money from the wage bill.

The former PSV Eindhoven man enjoyed a flying start to his career at Old Trafford but has had the first team door shut in his face under Mourinho with just 55 minutes of top team football in the EFL Cup.

Moving on loan to Goodison is one possibility but Everton would prefer to make the deal permanent with Koeman a big admirer since Depay made the breakthrough in Holland.
