Conte switches attention to Vidal

|

Chelsea have dropped their interest in Radja Nainggolan and switch their attention to Arturo Vidal.

According to a report in The Sun Antonio Conte has had a meeting with his former Juventus midfielder with a view to prising him away from Bayern Munich.

Conte is keen to get good value from the Oscar windfall and is likely to save at least £10m by switching his attention from Nainggolan to Vidal.

Roma have indicated that they won’t even discuss a deal for Belgian midfielder Nainggolan unless £50m is put on the table.

In contrast Chelsea believe that they could get Vidal from Bayern Munich with an initial bid going in at £34m.

Conte has no concerns about bringing the Chilean internationalist to England after working with the midfielder at Juventus with Vidal keen to work again with the mentor that helped him to win three Serie A titles after being signed from Bayer Leverkusen.
