Olivier Giroud won’t be quitting Arsenal in January.

Sky Sports has reported quotes from the striker’s agent to the footmercato website denying that the 30-year-old was looking to get away.

Giroud has started just two matches for Arsenal this season with the form of Alexis Sanchez and injury troubles restricying the Frenchman to a peripheral role.

If he was to go on the transfer list there would be no shortage of interest in the striker but after almost five years at The Emirates Giroud has no intention of moving on.

Michael Manuello, the players agent said: “He will make his season here. Nothing is possible in January. He has no plans to move during the winter transfer window ”

Giroud scored 31 times for club and country but was involved in the final of the European Championships until July 10 and missed the start of Arsenal’s pre-season work.

He was heavily criticised by fans after scoring in only one match during a 21 game run as Arsenal fell out of contention for the Premier League and were knocked out of the Champions League.
