Bastian Schweinsteiger to Everton
At the start of November, the Daily Star reported how Manchester United outcast Bastian Schweinsteiger was on the radar of Everton this winter.
However, given the fact Jose Mourinho rarely assists Premier League rivals, not to mention the fact the German has struggled within English football anyway, we could always see him giving up on the top flight.
Fast forward from that report and that looks like being exactly the case with the German having met with Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire recently.
Now 32-years-old, the former Bayern Munich man is the right age to move to a lesser quality league such as MLS and with Gareth Barry still going strong at three years older than Schweinsteiger, there wasn’t room to accommodate him anyway.
