Having failed to adjust to life at West Ham United like Simone Zaza, three clubs have now hoping that Jonathan Calleri cuts short his loan stint with the Hammers, report SportsMole.
According to Spanish sourceĀ Fichajes, La Liga trio Sevilla, Valencia and Malaga are all hoping to land Calleri this January with the latter side reportedly out in front to sign the Argentine.
Having made seven appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side so far this season, only one of those came as a start against Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup.
Struggling to make an impact in his cameo appearances to date, 23-year-old Calleri previously boasted an impressive goalscoring record at Boca Juniors and has looked out of sorts in English football.
Seventeenth in the Premier League table at present, several of Slaven Bilic’s summer arrivals have failed to live up to the billing and with Calleri amongst the poorest, it remains to be seen whether West Ham United will give up on the striker in the New Year.
