Mario Mandzukic to West Ham United

Failing to land Carlos Bacca and Alexandre Lacazette in the summer, West Ham United have had to make do with Michail Antonio up front of late.

While the Hammers await Andy Carroll’s return from injury, they can’t rely on his fitness for the rest of the season so another striker is needed desperately.

talkSPORT recently reported that West Ham United are trailing Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic in a deal that makes sense on paper.

With Slaven Bilic knowing the player well from his time managing him with the Croatian national side, Mandzukic is behind Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in the Juve pecking order.

Having already dealt with Juventus for Simone Zaza’s loan in the summer, perhaps the Hammers can pull off another temporary agreement for the experienced 30-year-old Mandzukic.
