Everton could be set to make £5.5m loss on Toffees star

|

Linked with Galatasaray most frequently, Trabzonspor have entered the race to land Everton striker Oumar Niasse and the Toffees are now holding out for an £8 million deal, report Sport Witness.

According to Turkish source AmkSpor, Trabzonspor want to land Niasse on loan with the option of signing the Senegal international permanently thereafter.

However, this is at odds with the intention of Toffees boss Ronald Koeman who is eager to get Niasse off the Goodison Park wage bill in a straightforward £8 million deal.

Having only made five Premier League appearances for Everton since joining from Lokomotiv Moscow for £13.5 million in January, the Toffees could be set to make a £5.5 million loss on the 26-year-old.

Sport Witness’ report claims that Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta has already reassured Niasse’s agent a deal will be reached this winter, suggesting the Turkish club are extremely keen to strike a deal.

Having already spent time in Turkey with Akhisar Belediyespor between 2014 and 2015, Niasse is certainly a player who needs to get his career back on track having been limited to reserve football so far this term.
