He turned out over 250 times for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and now, Ledley King has claimed there is no “reason” why Spurs can’t win the title this term, report talkSPORT.

Having conceded the fewest amount of top flight goals (4) so far this term, there has been no sign of subdued attitudes after Mauricio Pochettino’s side capitulated at the end of last season.

The only unbeaten side remaining in the Premier League, King claimed: “Spurs fans wanted to see if the team could continue what they built on last season and bring it into this season, and I think we’ve all seen already that the team is very consistent.

“We’re a tough side to beat and we’re in every game we play in, so I don’t feel there’s any reason why they shouldn’t be challenging again at the end of the season.”

Despite not firing on all cylinders prior to his injury against Sunderland, there’s been no doubting that Harry Kane has been Spurs’ talisman over the past few years but Pochettino’s side aren’t missing him too much at present.

With Heung-Min Son having added goals to his game this term, not to mention Dele Alli having chipped in with three Premier League strikes so far, the goalscoring has been shared around as a reassuring sign.

Facing AFC Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, Spurs should be in for another stiff test after Eddie Howe’s men blew Hull City away, winning 6-1 last time out.
