He failed to complete a transfer to Manchester United last year and now, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to move for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson to contribute to a 3-5-2 system, report the Daily Mail.

A winger by trade, the Brazilian international has interestingly deputised as a makeshift wing back in Lazio’s 3-5-2 formation of late.

Taking note of this positional shift, Conte has reportedly alerted Chelsea chiefs who are now running the rule over a January transfer swoop.

Currently on a deal with the Stadio Olimpico side until 2020, Felipe Anderson will prove expensive to recruit but given Branislav Ivanovic’s drop in form, Chelsea’s need is more pressing right now.

Despite being linked with Manchester United for so long, Felipe Anderson has still only won one senior international cap with Brazil.

That said, he was a part of the Brazil Olympics squad that achieved a Gold medal at the Rio games over the summer.
