Having recently revealed that he wants to return to La Liga at some point in his career, Thibaut Courtois probably could have picked a better time to state his intentions.
Enjoying a fantastic start to his Blues career, winning both the Premier League and League Cup and 2014/15, you can’t help but feel that Courtois’ stock has dwindled somewhat compared to the very best.
Held up on a pedestal alongside the likes of Manuel Neuer and David De Gea around a year ago, most wouldn’t hold him in that high regard right now and errors in judgement such as the one at Swansea City have become more common that previously.
