5 Arsenal stars that simply cannot afford to get injured

Theo Walcott

A much-maligned character at Arsenal over the last couple of years, Theo Walcott was as average as any England player during the international break but he’s started the season well at club level.

Recognising that he simply must produce more consistently after a forgettable 2015/16 campaign, Walcott has definitely been one of the Gunners’ most consistent performers this time around.

Joint top scorer alongside Alexis Sanchez with five goals in all competitions as things stand, Walcott has also been tenacious in his tracking back, particular in the rousing 3-0 victory over Chelsea.

Walcott has been used to spending long periods out of the Arsenal side with injury and with Aaron Ramsey often shoe-horned in at right wing to deputise for the England international, the Gunners aren’t the same side without his pace.

Arsenal have succeeded this term due to boasting loads of pace in their attacking front three of Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and Walcott who are all dynamic forwards.

They can ill afford to lose this pace from their line-up in a crucial run of fixtures coming up.
