Football supporters are eagerly anticipating the release of FIFA 17 on September 29th but Manchester United’s six highest rated players have already been revealed, report the Daily Star.
Having spent millions to bring some of the biggest names in the game to Old Trafford such as Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer, it’s no surprise that these three names made the cut.
It is 34-year-old striker Ibrahimovic and treble Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year winner David De Gea who both share United’s highest overall FIFA 17 ranking of 90 while the others aren’t so far behind.
Ranking in second is Paul Pogba with the world record breaking signing receiving a ranking of 88 while Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Wayne Rooney and Chris Smalling complete the top six at 85, 84 and 84 respectively.
While most of these rankings seeming realistic, it is probably the ranking of Wayne Rooney which is likely to cause the most debate with the England international having long been looking to recapture his best form.
Far from his best in the recent Manchester Derby in which the Red Devils fell to Manchester City 1-2, there will of course be football fans believing that the former Everton man should be closer to the 70s.
