He’s failed to start Arsenal’s last two fixtures but Granit Xhaka has reiterated his desire to make his Gunners spell a successful one, report The Sport Review.

Speaking ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League trip to Hull City on Saturday, Xhaka will be hoping it’s third time lucky in terms of a start with the £30 million + signing growing used to a bit-part role in recent weeks.

The Swiss international told the official Arsenal website: “I’m not somebody who gives up. I love playing football, I always want the ball and I’m not scared to play a risky pass.

“I’m a fighter too, and I think that’s a big advantage to have in the Premier League.”

Arsene Wenger can choose from an embarrassment of riches in the central midfield area this season of course but the Frenchman has opted for a pairing of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin against both Southampton and Paris Saint-Germain.

With Xhaka being one of the Gunners’ standout players in the 1-3 victory at Watford prior to the international break, Arsenal fans will be eager to see their big money arrival from Borussia Monchengladbach receive his opportunity from the start at the KCOM Stadium.
