Consequentially, the 20-year-old is attracting heavy interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window. Citing London Evening Standard, Bild moot Dahoud as a prime transfer target for Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
But the German publication further claims that Tottenham Hotspur are currently leading the battle to sign the Germany U21 and are prepared to pay as much as £27.5million to land him during the coming transfer window – which would make Dahoud the most expensive signing of Mauricio Pochettino’s spell at White Hart Lane.
However, director of sport Max Eberl has insisted the Syrian-born starlet will remain at Gladbach next season, recently telling reporters; “Mahmoud will play at Borussia next season. We need him for our ambitious goal.”
It has resultantly been speculated that Spurs could seal a transfer for Dahoud this summer, but loan him back to the Bundesliga outfit until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
