According to reports from Goal, Manchester United have made contact with the representatives of Chelsea strike target Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of a potential summer transfer.

The iconic Swede, who has netted a whopping 35 times across all competitions this season, is yet to extend his PSG contract past the summer, meaning he is already allowed to discuss pre-contract terms with foreign clubs.

Goal, who cite French publication L’Equipe, claim Chelsea are interested in acquiring the 6 foot 5 frontman on a free transfer, but further report that Premier League rivals Manchester United have now ‘made contact’ with his representatives to confirm their interest.

However, Zlatan could well still stay on at Parc de Princes. Agent Mino Raiola is expected to sound out a potential contract extension with the French champions in April, whilst failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League tournament could also see Chelsea & United miss out on a summer transfer.
