According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal are looking to outbid Manchester United in the race to sign Benfica sensation Renato Sanches.
The 18-year-old has registered just 13 league outings for Aguias, scoring twice, but is already being compared to Brazilian great Ronaldinho as two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs court his services.

Manchester United were linked with the attacking midfielder earlier this month and according to The Independent – who cite Portuguese publication O Jogo – they’re now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign him in a £22million deal before Monday’s 11pm transfer deadline.
But The Sun claim Arsenal are intent on outbidding the Red Devils after sending former star Luis Boa Morte to run the rule over the Portugal U19, who boasts eight goals and 40 caps for his country at junior level, during a 4-1 win over Moreirense on Sunday.
Sanches’ contract includes a £59million release clause but if any deal is to take place before 11pm, it will be worth significantly less.
