According to reports from The Metro, Chelsea have contacted AC Milan over the potential transfer of Manchester City and Manchester United goalkeeping target Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Italian prospect is just 16 years of age but has already muscled former Real Madrid star Diego Lopez out of the starting line-up to become Rossoneri’s No.1, recording 39 saves and six clean sheets from 17 Serie A outings this season.

But the latest reports from The Metro – citing Spanish publication Fichajes – claim Chelsea have made contact with the San Siro outfit regarding a potential deal for the prodigious shot-stopper.
The Metro and Fichajes have never been the most reliable of sources but Blues goalkeeper Marco Amelia recently told AC Milan’s TV channel that scouts and goalkeeping coaches have frequently discussed Donnarumma’s development.
As quoted by the club’s official website, the former Rossoneri ‘keeper said; “There is a lot of talk about him abroad. There has been a lot of talk between scouts and coaches. All of the top clubs are aware of the best talents in the game.”
But it appears prizing Donnarumma away from the San Siro any time soon will require a considerable sum. United’s aforementioned €40million bid may seem outrageous enough, but agent Mino Raiola – whose other clients include Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku – has publicly valued the teenager at an incredible £119million.
