Alex Pritchard

According to BBC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard has joined West Bromwich Albion on loan, whilst Mirror Football report that Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is set for a loan move to Charlton Athletic.

The 22-year-old is a product of the Spurs academy and has impressed during loan spells in the Football League with Swindon Town and Brentford, winning the Players’ Player of the Year award with the latter club last season.

He signed a new contract at White Hart Lane in August and was expected to be issued a bit-part role in Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad this season, only for a serious ankle injury to rule him out for much of the campaign.

The midfielder is now set to spend the rest of the season on loan at the Hawthorns. Upon joining West Brom, he told the club’s official website; “It’s been a hectic few hours – I was close to going elsewhere – but when this came about I didn’t hesitate to come here.”

Meanwhile, Mirror Football report that Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is set for a loan move to Championship side Charlton Athletic.

The 23-year-old signed for the Gunners on a free transfer from Auxerre in summer 2013 but has managed just one goal in 20 competitive appearances for his parent club and failed to score during a ten-game loan spell at Crystal Palace last season.

He began the campaign on loan at Ajax but was sent back to the Emirates after just five competitive appearances, deemed a poor fit for the Eredivisie. He’s now set to join the South East London outfit on loan, aiding their battle to avoid relegation to League One.
