According to reports from The Sun, Manchester City have joined Chelsea & Manchester United in the race to sign Southampton forward Sadio Mane.
After netting ten times during his debut Premier League campaign, including a three-minute hat-trick against Aston Villa, the Senegal star was the subject of a £20million Manchester United bid last summer.
Despite the Saints rejecting the offer, the Red Devils have continued to be linked with the 23-year-old this season, whilst Chelsea were mooted as potential suitors last month.

A summer sale seems likely. Mane wanted a January move and is resultantly not expected to extend his St. Mary’s contract past 2018, making the coming transfer window Southampton’s best chance of securing a blockbuster fee for the former Red Bull Salzburg talisman.
But according to The Sun, Chelsea and Manchester United now face a new competitor for Mane’s signature in the form of Manchester City.
Director of Football Txiki Bergiristain views the £25million-rated forward, who has played as a striker, a winger and a No.10 throughout his Premier League career, as an ideal signing for incoming manager Pep Guardiola, who has always favoured fast and versatile players.
