According to reports from The Express, Borussia Dortmund are preparing to sell Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United target Ilkay Gundogan.
The 25-year-old midfielder has emerged as a key member of the Dortmund starting Xi since signing from FC Nurnberg in summer 2011, helping them claim the 2012 Bundesliga title and reach the Champions League final a year later.
This season, he’s missed just one of the Black-Yellows’ 21 Bundesliga fixtures, averaging an impressive 1.5 tackles, 2.3 interceptions, 1 created chance and 2.3 successful dribbles per match, but the German international’s future at Westfalenstadion remains shrouded in doubt.

In a carbon copy of the situation last summer, Gundogan’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and according to The Express – who cite Bild – Dortmund are now preparing to offload in the summer after failing to agree a new deal. The German publication claims Thomas Tuchel’s side already have a replacement lined up in Manchester City and Manchester United target Mahmoud Dahoud.
Arsenal and Manchester United were both targeting Gundogan last summer as his contract wound down and The Express have tipped them to revive their interest. But tThe British newspaper also moots Liverpool as potential suitors, in no small part due to Gundogan emerging as one of the most exciting midfielders in Europe during Jurgen Klopp’s spell as Dortmund boss.
