According to reports from The Express, AC Milan rejected a £47million bid for Chelsea and Manchester United strike target Carlos Bacca during the January transfer window.

The Colombian international moved to the San Siro from Sevilla only last summer but his potent form since, netting 13 times in 26 Serie A appearances, attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs during the mid-season window.

Indeed, The Express mention late interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid, whilst Chelsea and Manchester United were both linked with the £30million-rated forward last month amid doubts over their current strike options.

According to The Express, who cite ITA Sport Press, an unnamed club saw a £47million bid for the 29-year-old rejected in January, with Milan reluctant to sell and Bacca possessing no particular desire to leave.

However, the situation could change in the summer according to the Italian publication, especially if AC Milan fail to improve upon their current league position of sixth place.
