Yaya Toure

According to Mirror Football, Arsenal failed in a deadline day swoop for Fulham wonder-kid Ryan Sessegnon; whilst The Sun report that Yaya Toure’s agent has claimed he’ll leave Manchester City in the summer.

The 16-year-old is rated as one of the best-sided youth prospects in world football and has resultantly been attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides recently.

Fulham were keen to sign Gunners winger Serge Gnabry on loan as Monday’s 11pm deadline loomed and the north Londoners wanted the England U16 captain included in the deal, but their approach was rejected by the Championship side.

However, Mirror Football have tipped Arsenal to revive their interest during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that Yaya Toure’s agent, the notorious Dimitry Seluk, has claimed the midfielder will most likely leave Manchester City in the summer following the appointment of Pep Guardiola.

It was announced yesterday that the Spaniard, who sold the Ivory Coast international to the Citizens whilst in charge of Barcelona, will take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad next season and Seluk has claimed that will likely result in Toure’s departure.

As quoted by The Sun, he said; “I think Yaya will leave the club. But before leaving I hope he will win again the League and all the cups. It’s not a question of whether Pep likes him or not. It’s life, you know. Pep can call Yaya and speak to him to let him know ‘I’m with you’ or ‘I am not with you’.”

“Yaya opened the door for the people who worked for Barcelona. Yaya went to a place where many changes were necessary. He was not afraid. But now everybody from Barca comes to City. Yaya won every trophy in England without Guardiola. Will Guardiola win without Yaya?”
