And the Express claim Pellegrini could end up landing incredibly close to home with reigning Premier League champions Chelsea, who are not expected to extend Guus Hiddink’s interim tenure beyond the summer.
The 63-year-old boasts the third-best win rate throughout Premier League history and is one of just two current top-flight managers to have already won the title, alongside Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger.
However, a number of candidates appear to be on the west London club’s radar. Last month, they were linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino, France boss Didier Deschamps, former Chile gaffer Jorge Sampaoli and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone.
