According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Juventus have rejected transfer bids from Manchester City and Manchester United for star full-back Alex Sandro.

The Brazil international has been in phenomenal form since signing from FC Porto in a €26million deal last summer, going on to bag two goals and three assists in 14 Serie A appearances whilst recording averages 1.6 tackles, 1.7 interceptions, 1.8 successful dribbles and 2.2 created chances per match.

Manchester City were considering a swoop for the 25-year-old last summer and are believed to have launched a €40million bid in November after Sandro claimed an assist against them in the Champions League’s group stages, which the Old Lady swiftly rejected.

But according to Calcio Mercato, Juventus have also snubbed a bid from Premier League rivals Manchester United – although they fail to report how much the bid was worth or when it was made. The Italian publication claim Sandro would likely fetch a €45million fee if he were put on the market, but the Serie A champions are desperate to hold onto him in an effort to prove they’re no longer a ‘selling club’.
