According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea scouts have been running the rule over Manchester United transfer target Radja Nainggolan.

The Roma enforcer has been in good form this season, averaging 1.7 tackles, 1.4 interceptions, 1.7 shots and 49 completed passes per match from 23 Serie A outings, and was part of a midfield trio that impressed against Real Madrid during the midweek Champions League action.

Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that Manchester United are lining up the £20.2million-rated midfielder as one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings, in shopping spree that could see them spend as much as £300million during the summer transfer window.

However, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has made similar claims about potentially-incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte on his official website. The Italy gaffer – one of the leading candidates for the Stamford Bridge hot seat – is a known fan of the Belgium international and will look to bring him to west London in the coming transfer window if he’s appointed Blues boss.

It is further alleged that scouts from the Premier League champions have been spotted running the rule over the 27-year-old Stadio Olympico star in recent weeks.
