According to The Express, Atletico Madrid are set to hold talks with Manchester United star Juan Mata regarding a summer transfer to the Spanish capital.
The Spain international has been amongst United’s better performers since signing from Chelsea two years ago, clocking up 19 goals in 73 Premier League appearances, but looks set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The attacking midfielder is on the verge of entering the final two years of his contract and unlikely to be offered a new deal, whilst recent reports have suggested he’ll almost certainly be sold if Jose Mourinho is appointed Red Devils boss before next season.
The Portuguese infamously facilitated Mata’s £37million Old Trafford switch in January 2014, despite the 27-year-old claiming Chelsea’s Player of the Season award for a second time just six months prior.
