A number of England’s top clubs have been monitoring the teenager for some time. Scouts from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United tracked his progress with the Hammers’ U21 squad last season whilst Mirror Football document interest from Manchester City as well.

But recent speculation has suggested Arsenal and United are the likeliest clubs to swoop for the defender-come-midfielder in the summer and Mirror Football claim the north Londoners are now preparing an £8million bid – a figure which keeps popping up in regards to the Irons prospect.

But under contract until 2019, the Hammers are under no direct obligation to sell and will be loathed to part with their most exciting academy product since Mark Noble.
