According to reports from Football Italia, Manchester United are prepared to offer €40million for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma; whilst Sky Sports report that Simon Mignolet is set to sign a new contract at Liverpool.

Donnarumma is just 16 years of age but has managed to dislodge the more senior Diego Lopez from between the San Siro sticks this season, making 27 saves, keeping three clean sheets and conceding just nine times in eleven Serie A appearances.

A number of his Rossoneri team-mates and 1982 World Cup winning goalkeeper Dino Zoff have heaped praise on the Italy U17 this season, tipping him to become one of the beautiful game’s biggest stars. Citing Mediaset Premium, Football Italia claim the Red Devils are now preparing a €40million bid for the summer.

Meanwhile, Sky  Sports report that controversial goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is on the verge of signing a new contract at Anfield – despite his sustained synonymy with costly individual errors.

Indeed, the Belgium has come under criticism for much of his Anfield career, now spanning 120 appearances across all competitions, but now looks set to sign a deal that will keep him on Merseyside until 2020.

After missing an FA Cup tie with Exeter City last Friday, the 27-year-old is expected to start in Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Arsenal this evening.
