Out - Mathieu Debuchy

According to The Daily Star, AC Milan have denied they’re about to sign Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini; whilst Mirror Football report that Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy is in talks with Roma.

The Belgium international has been issued just five Premier League starts by Louis van Gaal this season and reports earlier this week claimed he’d agreed a £15million move to Serie A outfit AC Milan.

But according to The Daily Star, San Siro vice-president Adriano Galliani has publicly insisted that the club are not interested in signing the 6 foot 5 afro-bearer this month.

He told Mediaset Premium; “Fellaini is a player I like, I have always liked him, but there is no way he is joining AC Milan. I can only deny that Fellaini is close to Milan. We already have seven players in midfield. We are well stocked in all areas. It is very unlikely we will make any signings unless someone leaves.”

Meanwhile, Mirror Football report that Arsenal outcast Mathieu Debuchy is having talks with fellow Serie A outfit Roma over a potential January move.

The France international has found himself stuck behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order this season, receiving just two starts in the Premier League, and is desperate to secure regular playing time ahead of next summer’s European Championships on his home soil.

According to Mirror Football, manager Arsene Wenger has resultantly approved of talks between Debuchy’s representatives and Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini.

A loan until the end of the season with the view to a £8million permanent move is the likeliest scenario and although the Gunners are expected to delay the deal until later in the transfer window, it is widely expected to eventually go ahead.
