According to The Metro, Manchester United met with the agent of Lazio winger Felipe Anderson yesterday afternoon; whilst Mirror Football report that Swansea City want to sign Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz on loan.

The Red Devils have been linked with the £36.7million-rated winger continuously this season after seeing a £29million bid rejected by Lazio during the summer – despite allegedly agreeing personal terms with the Brazil international.

Recent reports have suggested an improved offer for the January transfer window and The Metro claim the 22-year-old’s representatives were in Manchester yesterday to discuss a potential move.

The Metro aren’t the most reliable of sources but the story stems from The Guardian’s Ed Aarons, who wrote on Twitter this morning; “Felipe Anderson’s agent was in England yesterday to meet officials from Manchester United. No official bid made yet.”

Meanwhile, Mirror Football report that Swansea City are hoping to sign Chelsea prodigy Islam Feruz on loan during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old striker, who measures in at just 5 foot 4, joined the Blues’ academy from Celtic in 2011 and is currently on loan with fellow Scottish outfit Hibernian. But he’s widely expected to terminate his year-long agreement this month after managing just six substitute appearances for Alan Stubbs’ side.

A number of Championship clubs are interested in the Scotland U21 – most particularly MK Dons, Brentford, Leeds, Rotherham and Charlton Athletic – but Swansea are willing to offer him Premier League football instead.

The Welsh club are desperately short of firepower at the moment, scoring the second-fewest goals of any Premier League side after bottom-placed Aston Villa. Mirror Football also document interest from Bournemouth.
