Morata

According to separate reports from The Sun, in-form winger Willian wants to sign a new contract at Chelsea; whilst Arsenal could swoop for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata next summer.

The Brazil international’s superlative form has been one of the few sources of positivity at Stamford Bridge this season, rising to the top of club’s scoring charts with eight goals in 27 appearances across all competitions – including three strikes in the Premier League.

And according to The Sun, the 27-year-old is now keen to pen extended terms in west London, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2017/18 campaign. They quote Willian as saying; “The club knows exactly how I feel. I am very happy here. It was always my dream to come here when I was playing in Ukraine the realisation of a dream.

“I want to stay. But at the same time my head is calm I am just going to see how things go. I’m happy.I tend to not get involved in that side of things too much. I leave it up to my agent to deal with it but the club knows exactly how I feel.”

Meanwhile, The British tabloid speculates that Real Madrid’s impending transfer embargo could see Arsenal swoop for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata next summer.

The Spain international left the Bernabeu in summer 2014 and went on to bag 15 goals during his debut campaign with the Old Lady – helping fire them to the 2015 Champions League final with five goals in Europe.

But he’s fallen behind summer arrivals Mario Mandzukic and Paolo Dybala in the pecking order this season and has resultantly found just one goal across all competitions. That could have paved the way for Los Blancos to activate a buy-back clause, but they’re now facing a two-window transfer ban.

The Sun therefore speculate that long-term admirers Arsenal will look to capitalise on the situation by swooping for the 23-year-old next summer instead. Having recently penned a contract until 2020, however, Juventus are under no pressure to sell on the cheap.
